An Icon in her own right, I wanted to create a paint the personified what Sade has meant to me in my life. The colors I chose, purple and gold, remind me of royalty, which seems fitting for a Queen of Jazz and Soul. I also included a blue jean colored blue shirt to show how she is still grounded in the experiences of the everyday woman.
