"Be Your Own Legend" is an affirmation piece I created for the black men in my life.  It is one of four paintings in a collection I created called VIBES MAGAZINE.  In this collection, I created a fictional magazine cover in the future, focusing on affirmations and articles that would be written in a world post African American harassment.
 
It was a joy for me to create a piece around a strong black man who stands unapologetically in his space knowing the power he carries within him.
