When I reflect on the journey of Black people in the United States, I am deeply inspired by the legacy of the Great Migration — a pivotal movement rooted in faith, courage, and the pursuit of freedom. Guided by the strength and wisdom of our ancestors, generations of Black families stepped into the unknown to create new opportunities, redefine their futures, and establish foundations built on dignity, self-determination, and hope.
 
This work honors that spirit of movement, transformation, and collective resilience. It serves as a reminder that even amid uncertainty, our communities have continually found ways to rebuild, reimagine, and rise.
 
While our story is still unfolding, I believe there is immense power in unity, cultural memory, and trusting the path carved by those who came before us. Through shared vision and collective effort, we continue to shape a future that reflects both our struggles and our brilliance.
